What is EPDM rubber?
EPDM, short for ethylene propylene diene monomer, is the synthetic rubber made to last outdoors. It stands up to strong sun, UV rays, ozone, rain, hot water and steam far better than other rubbers, so it does not crack or harden after a few summers. That makes EPDM rubber sheet the first choice for outdoor seals and weather strips, and for gaskets on water, hot water and steam lines.

EPDM, neoprene or nitrile: which rubber sheet should I buy?
Choose EPDM for outdoor use, hot water and steam. It is not oil resistant, so for petrol, diesel, hydraulic oil or grease, choose nitrile (NBR). Neoprene sits in between, with fair oil resistance and good weather resistance. For flooring and general use, SBR is the economical choice.
Can EPDM rubber sheet handle hot water and steam?
Yes. EPDM is the right rubber for hot water and steam gaskets, typically up to about 120°C. Tell us the temperature and pressure of your line and we will confirm it is suitable.
Is EPDM good for outdoor use in Pakistan?
Yes. EPDM has superior resistance to UV rays and ozone, so it lasts much longer in strong sun than SBR, nitrile or natural rubber. It is the best choice for seals and pads that stay outdoors all year.
